Begin your adventure in Milton at the Halton County Radial Railway and enjoy a scenic ride on a vintage streetcar along 2 km of track.
If that’s not enough train for the engineers in your crew, make a stop at the Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology. This National Historic Site preserves two 70-ton steam engines, perhaps the oldest surviving Canadian-built engines and on Sundays from May through October you can catch a ride on miniature coal-burning steam-powered trains.
Next, head to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and marvel at one of the world’s largest displays of operational aircraft. This distinctive delta-shaped building houses over 40 historic aircraft, including the only flying Avro Lancaster in North America.
Rest up at an area hotel and get ready for even more excitement on the second day of this trip.
The next day, make your way to Paris for a Grand River outing they’ll never forget. Grand Experiences, and Grand River Rafting are great local outfitters that will provide your group with the expert guidance and gear you need for a great canoe, kayak or rafting trip.
If you’d prefer an on-water experience that’s a little less active, consider a Grand River Cruise or a tour of the Hamilton Harbour on the The Hamiltonian.
