Hamilton may be known as steel town, but it’s also a great wheel town. This two-day cycling itinerary highlights some of the area’s best routes.
Spend your first day exploring Hamilton and Burlington on the HamBur Loop, a 50-km cycling loop through Hamilton & Burlington that features stunning lookouts, waterfront cycling and great restaurants. This mostly off-road can be completed in one day and there are two luxurious hotels, The Waterfront Hotel in Burlington and the Best Western C in Hamilton, that are right on the route.

The next day, escape to one of the area’s more serene cycling routes. The West Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail stretches 32 kilometres from Ewen Road in Hamilton to Mohawk Park in Brantford. Hilton Falls Conservation Area and Kelso Conservation Area are also great options for cyclists looking for off-road options.
