Using the wood fired cast iron range costumed cooks provide an amusing and informative demonstration of a variety of salad recipes using heirloom produce grown in the garden. Exploring the methods and history from the mid-19th century discover how Victorian cooks were cast with a strength that rivalled their iron cookware and were impressively capable considering the technology available in their era. There’s an endless supply of recipes that will leaf you wanting more. Lettuce surprise you with our incredible fresh produce. Take home some fresh herbs and a booklet of the selected recipes. All Recipes will be Vegetarian friendly. Suitable for ages 12 years +. Pre-registration is required.  Cost: $25 or purchase the series for $75.

    Travel 'back in time' with us this summer at Ireland House Museum! Our summer camp runs 6 weeks at Ireland House at Oakridge Farm, and includes fun, engaging, and dynamic programming.

    Camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and costs $175/child/week, or $40/child/day. Before and after care is available from 8:00 to 9:00 am, and 4:00 to 5:00 pm at a cost of $6/child/session. Museum members receive 25% camp fees (excludes before/after care).

    The Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Homestead at 359 Blue Lake Road, St George will be hosting a series of day camps at the historic, rural home of the Hunter family. Lots of summer fun will take place over four themed weeks from July 4th to 29th which include:  Life Around Us (ages 4-8 & 9-11), Farm Frenzy (ages 4-8 & 9-11), Homestead Crafty Designs (ages 5-11) and A Day in the Life of Addie Hunter (ages 5-11). Come enjoy summer fun at this national historic site! Registration per week is $150 which includes activities, field trips & snacks. Early registration for $125 is available until June 9th!
