Day 1
It’s easy to spend an entire day at African Lion Safari. Drive through game reserves and see prides of lions, herds of zebras and giraffes, cheetahs, baboons, white rhinos, ostriches and many other exotic species. There’s also a water park, live bird and animal shows, a boat cruise, train tour and the unforgettable Elephant Swim.
Day 2
The next day, make your way to Paris where the Grand River and its surrounding shorelines are teeming with wildlife. Canoe, kayak or raft your way through a section of this designated Heritage River with an area outfitter and keep an eye out for great blue herons, bald eagles, egrets and more. Grand Experiences and Grand River Rafting are great local outfitters that will provide your group with the expert guidance and gear you need for a great trip.
Next up, farm animal fun. Bronte Creek Provincial Park Children’s Playbarn in Oakville, Springridge Farm in Milton and Puddicombe Farms in Stoney Creek are all great choices.
Wrap up the day at Mountsberg Conservation Area’s Raptor Centre for a nose-to-beak encounter with some of Ontario’s most stunning birds of prey, including hawks, eagles, owls, vultures and falcons. While you’re there, check out the Wildlife Walkway and watch the herd of elk and bison that make their home here at play.
