An outdoor adventure in Hamilton Halton Brant can include an overnight stay in one of our 24 campgrounds. Conservation areas and private campgrounds offer a wide range of site choices and recreational activities for both tent and RV campers. But don’t let the weather stop you! Valens Conservation Area offers annual winter camping from January 1st – April 30th.

Here are 5 great options for conservation area camping your family will love.

  • Fifty Point Conservation Area

Don’t forget your tackle box! Fifty Point is a great spot for fishing Lake Ontario for salmon, or you can catch rainbow trout and largemouth bass in the stocked pond.

  • Bronte Creek Provincial Park

No tent? No problem. Bronte Creek Provincial Park has three yurts that each can sleep up to six people. In addition to bunk beds, the yurts have a table and chairs, a deck with a propane bbq, a picnic table and a fire pit as well as lights and electricity. Talk about creature comforts!

  • Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area

Home to a 9-hectare lake and sandy beach and great hiking trails, this park is a great option for campers who like to swim and hike.

  • Brant Conservation Area

With canoe and kayak rentals and easy access to the Grand River, this park is a natural choice for paddlers who want to hit the water during their camping trip.

  • Rattlesnake Point and Kelso Conservation Area

Like to travel as a big group? These two parks offer group camping sites for groups as large as 18 people.
