If you are yearning for an authentic farm experience to share with the family, here are a few suggestions for getting your country on in Hamilton Halton Brant.

In Oakville, Bronte Creek Provincial Park’s Children’s Farm and Playbarn is a 150-year-old barn that has been transformed into a huge children’s play loft for climbing, jumping and having fun. Below the play loft you’ll find a variety of barnyard animals.

Springridge Farm is open daily until Christmas. The Fun Farm Yard there features farm animals, straw play, a 40′ Windmill, antique tractors, tractor-drawn wagon rides and much more.

Get a sense of country life in pioneer times at Rockton’s Westfield Heritage Village, where you’ll find stunning collection of over 30 restored historical buildings including barns, a blacksmith’s shop, a smokehouse, and a carriage barn that houses a fascinating collection of 19th century horse-drawn vehicles such as wagons, sleighs, and cutters.

Mountsberg Conservation Area in Campbellville offers horse-drawn wagon rides and a Play Barn that kids will love.
