Discover Hamilton’s trails and embark on a hiker’s paradise. This journey includes must-see sights, access to Canada’s longest footpath (the Bruce Trail), sweeping city views, and over half a dozen waterfalls. You’ll begin with glimpses of the urban City of Hamilton as you walk the Bruce Trail at Iroquoia Heights Conservation Area and explore the brow of Hamilton’s “mountain”, geologically known as the Niagara Escarpment.

Exploring the Red Hill Valley, you’ll see one of Hamilton’s most stunning waterfalls, Albion Falls — a complex cascade towering 19-metres in height. The Valley is also an excellent bird watching location. At Felker’s Falls Conservation Area, hikers are rewarded with views of gorges and waterfalls. The itinerary ends with an excursion to Eramosa Karst Conservation Area, an explorer’s dream. The Karst (a geological formation including underground drainage, caves and passages caused by dissolving rock) is filled with underground caves, streams, meadows and forests. This area is believed to have the largest number of karst features in any single area in the province, including soil pipes, sinkholes, sinking streams and a 335-metre long cave.
