You’ll begin by hiking to Hilton Falls, a classical waterfall with stone ruins of a 19th century sawmill. The 33 kilometres of trails in Hilton Falls Conservation Area will take you through widespread, wondrous forests that are ideal for wildlife viewing and birding. After exploring the area’s old logging roads and beaver meadows, Kelso Conservation Area is only a short hike away. Here you can rent a boat, fish, visit the historic lime kilns, or continue to follow the trails through nature’s playground.

Follow an unforgettable day with yet another nature adventure, taking in the beauty of Crawford Lake Conservation Area. Visit the Iroquoian Village and participate in cultural and learning adventures focused on First Nations history, or take a walk on the boardwalk around a meromictic lake that is home to paddling turtles. This conservation area is linked by a hiking trail to your next destination, Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area. Boasting numerous photo-worthy Escarpment lookouts, Rattlesnake has a not-to-be-missed panorama at Buffalo Crag Lookout Point. Your day can end with an avid hike along the Nassagaweya Canyon Trail or visits to local farmers’ markets, breweries, a fruit winery, and even a lavender farm.
