Located on the main street of charming Paris, the Taren White Gallery represents Canadian artists, chosen for their artistic process, the quality & originality of their work, as well as their notoriety in Ontario.
Gallery owner, Taren White is a Canadian artist who was born in Sydney, Australia. Inspired from a young age, Taren was surrounded by artists growing up including her mother, Patricia White and grandmother Magda. Their influence is what led Taren to completing her degree in Fine Art at the University of Guelph.
Taren spent time with her grandparents in England, and was included in their weekly painting excursions where they would set up easels at the side of the road and paint landscapes with oil paints. This is a cherished childhood memory and one that influenced her in the arts.
Her greatest mentor was her mother, local artist Patricia White. Taren spent many hours in her studio. Patricia White worked primarily with watercolours of florals as well as portraits of local homes.
Taren is thrilled to open her gallery along the river in beautiful Paris, Ontario. Fulfilling a lifelong dream to own a gallery and share her work as well as the work of many talented, local artists.
