- From downtown Toronto, the Gardiner Expressway flows west into the QEW, the main route around the western end of Lake Ontario.
- Halton — The QEW runs straight through Oakville (about 30–45 min) and Burlington (about 45–60 min). For Milton and Halton Hills, branch north onto Highway 407 or local routes.
- Hamilton — Follow the QEW to Burlington, then Highway 403 into the city — roughly 1 hour, longer at rush hour.
- Brant and Brantford — Stay on Highway 403 West past Hamilton — about 1 hr 15 min.
- Good to know — The QEW and 403 are toll-free; the 407 is a faster toll alternative. Expect slowdowns at the Burlington Skyway during rush hour, and check a traffic app before you go.
