Add some whimsy to your winter nights and plan your visit to Mountsberg’s award-winning display of outdoor lights at Winterlit. Enjoy a moonlit stroll along two different trails featuring sustainably sourced, illuminated art installations.
This unique evening out is a celebration of nature, winter, and community.
What to Expect:
- Enjoy two twinkling trails — the Illuminated Sugar Bush (~1 km) and the Winterlit Trail (~1 km)
- Admire sustainably sourced, illuminated art installations
- Get cozy by Fireside Lounges located throughout the event
- Bring a book to swap for a “new to you” read in our cozy ‘Book Nook’
- Play board games at the ‘Book Nook’
- Learn all about the animals that call Mountsberg home in ‘The Den’
- Take home a wood branded souvenir of your visit
- NEW installation by Milton District High School Students (Mr. Polap’s Grade 10 Construction class)

Paint a Heart ($5)
Paint a wooden heart and become part of our LOVE installation! Your $5 donation will go directly to our Animal Care Fund and help provide care for our raptors and farm animals!
Discover Owls ($8, Fridays Only)
Add to your Winterlit evenings with a fun and engaging educational experience, learning about Ontario’s native owl species. Children 2 and under free. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are not permitted.
Starry Night Hikes ($8, Saturdays Only)
The starry sky is the first and best winter light show! Join one of our naturalists to discover the world of astronomy. On clear nights we’ll take a 45 minute hike into the darker areas of the park to see the stars, on cloudy nights we’ll learn all about the stars indoors. Children 2 and under are free!
Beeswax Candle Making ($10, Sundays Only)
Did you know Mountsberg has an active bee yard? Sign up for this 20 minute workshop to learn more about pollinators and make your own beeswax candle to take home and light the winter night. Children 2 and under are free!
