    Brantford

    Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts

    The Sanderson Centre‘s 1919 heritage theatre remains one of Ontario’s architectural gems, where exceptional acoustics meet gilded age grandeur in the heart of downtown Brantford. This season, the Centre’s programming spans classical masterworks, holiday favourites, and theatrical spectacle, each performance enhanced by the venue’s warm intimacy and storied character.

    The Elora Singers on November 23, part of the Brantford Music Club series. Under the direction of Mark Vuorinen, this internationally renowned professional choir brings exceptional artistry to the Sanderson stage.

    The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition arrives December 3, featuring choreographer Bengt Jörgen’s distinctly Canadian take on Klara’s magical journey, complete with snowflakes, lumberjacks, Mounties, and woodland creatures set to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score.

    The Celtic Tenors bring Ireland’s most successful crossover sound to A Celtic Christmas on December 11, delivering holiday classics with the uplifting harmonies that have sold over a million albums worldwide.

    The Brantford Symphony Orchestra joins the Grand River Chorus and four soloists for Handel’s Messiah on December 13. The world’s first global musical “hit” remains a profound seasonal tradition in the Sanderson’s exceptional acoustic setting.

    Community Performances

    20 Performing Arts Academy presents Footloose: The Musical Youth Edition at Brantford Collegiate Institute on December 5 and 6, showcasing young performers in this beloved story set to its chart-topping Top 40 score.

    Hamilton

    Theatre Aquarius

    Theatre Aquarius has established itself as a leader in Canadian musical theatre, presenting professional productions in the 700-seat Irving Zucker Auditorium. The theatre’s commitment to creating outstanding, accessible live theatre has nurtured audiences and performers alike for over 50 years.

    Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical takes the stage November 19 through December 28, featuring an all-Canadian cast led by Hamilton’s own Kaleigh Gorka as Elsa in this lavish broadway production of the beloved animated film.

    FirstOntario Concert Hall

    FirstOntario Concert Hall’s 2,193-seat Great Hall has earned international recognition for its outstanding acoustics, making it the permanent home of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.

    Choir! Choir! Choir! presents Un-Silent Night on November 22, turning hundreds of audience members into performers for an epic holiday sing-along of classics and seasonal pop gems.

    The Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates with ‘Tis the Season on December 13, featuring Music Director James S. Kahane leading the orchestra, the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and the Hamilton Children’s Choir.

    Community Performance

    The Hamilton Concert Band presents Sounds of the Season concerts on December 6 at St. Andrew’s United Church and December 21 at Ancaster Memorial Arts Centre.

    Burlington

    Burlington Performing Arts Centre

    The Burlington Performing Arts Centre‘s LEED Gold certified facility has anchored the city’s cultural landscape since 2011, offering exceptional acoustics and sight lines in its 700-seat Main Theatre and intimate Community Studio Theatre.

    The Blackburn Brothers bring their powerful blend of blues, soul, and R&B to the Community Studio Theatre on November 22. This family band carries a musical legacy tracing back to their father Bobby Dean Blackburn and roots to the Underground Railroad.

    Legends of Motown returns by popular demand on November 29. The 16-piece cast performs live tributes to The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Temptations, and Marvin Gaye with dazzling choreography and authentic costumes.

    Wonderful World of Christmas – Graceland Edition arrives December 12, featuring world champion Elvis tribute artist Steve Michaels performing holiday classics from “Blue Christmas” to “Santa Bring My Baby Back.”

    A Very Charlie Brown Concert takes the stage on December 13. Jazz trio Adam Bowman, Duncan Wilson, and Tyler Wagler perform Vince Guaraldi’s beloved soundtrack alongside Burlington’s Enchorus Children’s Choir.

    The Burlington Symphony Orchestra presents A Christmas Spectacular on December 14. This full-length holiday concert features seasonal favourites, sing-alongs, and a special visitor from the North Pole.

    Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts

    The Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts has served as the town’s cultural hub since opening in 1991, presenting over 70 professional performances annually in its 485-seat AEG Liebherr Auditorium.

    The Nutcracker opens the season November 28-30, presented by the Oakville School of Classical Ballet under Artistic Director Amanda Paterson. Clara’s journey unfolds to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score.

    KUNÉ World Orchestra performs December 3. This collective of immigrant musicians from around the world creates a fresh sound gathering instruments from the Chinese dizi to the Iranian tar to the Brazilian berimbau.

    The Blind Boys of Alabama Christmas Show arrives December 6. These five-time Grammy Award winners bring their legendary gospel harmonies to traditional carols and soulful holiday arrangements.

    The Oakville Symphony presents its annual Family Holiday Concert on December 14, featuring seasonal favourites with the Oakville Youth Symphony and Oakville Choir for Children and Youth.

    Snow White & The Secret Vault: A Holiday Pantomime runs December 19-28, presented by BurlOak Theatre Group. This side-splitting fairytale twist features catchy tunes and outrageous characters.

    FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton

    The FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton serves as the town’s cultural cornerstone, housing the 506-seat Mattamy Theatre and the flexible MinMaxx Hall within its LEED-certified building.

    Brightside Players presents The Princess and the Pop Tart December 5-7. This topsy-turvy pantomime finds a princess and peasant switching places before fairy magic sends everything hilariously wrong.

    A Swingin’ Christmas with Toronto All-Star Big Band arrives December 7. This festive revue delivers swinging renditions of seasonal favourites and classics from the golden age of swing.

    Tartan Terrors: A Celtic Christmas takes the stage December 11. This high-energy show blends Celtic music with rock concert intensity, humour, and stepdance.

    The Milton Philharmonic Orchestra presents Winterlude XII on December 20, featuring musicians from in and around Milton performing a variety of themed orchestral works.

    Milton Community Theatre closes the season with The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition December 27-28. Dorothy and Toto follow the Yellow Brick Road, befriending the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion along the way.
