The largest waterfall in the region is the highlight of this two-day jaunt that also takes in the small town charms of Dundas.

Follow this itinerary for the opportunity to explore the majestic cliff views and breathtaking spectacle of the Niagara Escarpment. Numerous waterfalls, cascades and a reservoir are sights along the route, starting in Flamborough at Borer’s Falls Conservation Area and ending in Dundas at the Spencer’s Gorge Adventure Wilderness Area. This trip also includes an optional experience for more adventurous and avid hikers.

You’ll want to bring your camera as you explore sections of the Bruce Trail that wind along the top edge of the Niagara Escarpment. Dotting the trail are numerous lookouts and incredible scenic views of Cootes Paradise, Rattlesnake Point, Hamilton Harbour and Lake Ontario. You’ll explore Christie Lake Conservation Area, one of the beautiful lakeside conservation areas on the Niagara Escarpment, and known as a perfect spot for wildlife exploration. Take a trek around Christie Lake and see a 20th century dam up close, then head to the distinctive Spencer Gorge with its two scenic waterfalls. Finish with a visit to the charming town of Dundas, known for its cafes, shops, galleries and breweries.
