Crawford Lake Conservation Area

Come visit the 232-hectare park established in 1969 in Milton. Along the Niagara Escarpment, this regionally and environmentally sensitive area offers 19km of hiking and trails connecting to the Bruce Trail.
It is a rare meromictic lake and one of the most accurately dated pre-contact archaeological sites in Canada.

Some features of Crawford Lake Conservation Area include:
– An elevated boardwalk with interpretation stations surrounding the lake
– Educational programs and exhibits
– Nassagaweya Canyon interpretive lookout
– A 15th century reconstructed Iroquoian Village and heritage site
– Visitors centre, gathering place facilities, gift shop, theatres, lunchrooms, exhibits, displays and outdoor picnic area
