Burlington Tour

Burlington’s Best Bets with this Two-day Trip

Day One

Make your way to Burlington for a tasting and tour at Nickel Brook Brewery. Their intricate bottle designs and methodology of brewing will impress you as soon as you walk in the door. From IPAs, BPAs, lagers and porters, to fruity flavours, a gluten free option and more, they’re sure to have something to please your palate. Ask about seasonal flavours too, like the Pumpkin Porter and Wet Hop Pale Ale.

After the brewery, travel north to enjoy a walk in the park and lunch at Lowville Bistro.  Then make your way to Burlington’s charming downtown and look for one-of-a-kind finds in the unique shops then stop in at one of the charming cafés or pubs for a refreshment. A tour of the Art Gallery of Burlington is also a must.

Later, enjoy Burlington’s waterfront trail and scenic Lake Ontario views before checking in at the Waterfront Hotel and relax before dinner at Pepperwood Bistro, a local hot spot in Burlington serving up contemporary bistro fare and a huge variety of beers on tap including several craft breweries.

After dinner, head to Emma’s Backporch for live music to experience Burlington’s nightlife. As an alternative, catch a show at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

Day Two

Enjoy a buffet breakfast at the hotel before heading to Royal Botanical Gardens for the day. Explore the indoor and outdoor gardens, as well as the amazing, recently rejuvenated Rock Garden. Have lunch at West Plains Bistro before making your way back home.

To extend your trip, consider adding a visit to another craft brewery on the Hamilton Halton Brant True Brew Path to your itinerary. Time your visit with one of our amazing festivals and events for an extra special stay.
