Get ready for some fun in the sun at the Art Gallery of Burlington this summer! We have designed dynamic kids camps full of hands-on and collaborative projects, which encourage skillful and meaningful ways of thinking, seeing, and making contemporary art and craft. Programs offer one-of-a-kind art making experiences as well as interactive tours of the gallery’s exhibitions.
Following the success of last year’s creative movement and play partnerships, The Travelling Stage and Little Yogis will be joining us to provide yoga, movement, improv, and theatre sessions every day for a fun break between art making.
Summer Camp: Ages 7-12
Each week kids explore various art-making and ceramic techniques through projects inspired by the AGB exhibitions. Camps themes take inspiration from our current exhibitions to explore community, storytelling, ecology and more. Half the day is spent in the clay studio and half the day in the fine art studio for a dynamic day of diverse art explorations. There will be a 30-minute improv and theatre activity session every camp day for a fun and dynamic break between art sessions!
Art materials for children’s classes are included in the registration fee.
What to wear? Clothing may get messy from the materials used in the class. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.
What to bring? Snacks and a lunch that are nut-free. We appreciate your cooperation!
Allergy or special needs? Remember to notify us on your registration form if the student has an allergy, health concern or a learning disability that could impact participation in the class. We want to ensure the best possible experience.
Please review the AGB’s COVID-19 safety guidelines on our website before attending your week of camp. All camp guidelines are subject to change in accordance with Provincial health mandates.
