Want to bring your own boat to explore the Grand River?
At the start of each day we offer a private shuttle service for people with their own kayaks, paddle boards, tandem kayaks and canoes.
You can choose from three different routes.
Our paddling trips range from 11 kms, 13kms or 17 kms.
Our paddling routes are in a wilderness setting… with good wildlife viewing. The beauty of the valley is nature unexpected.
The Grand River warms up quickly, averages 1 m in depth, moves about 2-3 kms/hr and has shallow rapids on a stony bottom.
HOW IT WORKS:
We have you park at the end point… load your boat onto our shuttle trailer, go through the route map, then shuttle upstream to the start point. At the start point you get your boat, then take as long as you like paddling back to your vehicle. At the end point, our staff helps you off the river.. and you walk 400 m to your vehicle, bring your vehicle down to pickup your boat… then home!
