Guided Walking Tours in Milton

The Milton Historical Society conducts walking tours in four areas of Milton. This is a great Sunday afternoon activity where you can step back into Milton’s early history while enjoying a stroll through the Historic Downtown Area. Each tour lasts approx. 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Many of the buildings are plaqued showing the date of construction, name of the original owner and their occupation.

The cost is $10.00 per participant. All walks are cash only, payable at the beginning of the walk. They have waiting lists so your cancellation notice would be appreciated two days prior to the walk – info@miltonhistoricalsociety.ca

Their different tours include:

  • Historic Main Street
  • Historic Martin Street
  • Historic Victoria Park Square & Area
  • Historic Mill & Victoria Streets Area

They hope these walks will captivate you as you experience the stories of the past, history of the buildings and the lives of those who lived and worked in old Milton. The walks are a perfect introduction for new and older residents and first time visitors to Milton.

WHEN: Sundays at 2 pm
WHERE: Tours start from 16 James St. – Milton Historical Society
COST: $10.00 per person

Payable in CASH ONLY at the beginning of your tour. Separate Group Tours are also available by appointment.

They also offer four self guided walking tour booklets which cover the Historic Downtown Area. A great way to enjoy an outing and allows you to take your time to explore Milton’s history and charming older homes.

You can purchase their four booklets for $25.00 or you can purchase one booklet for $7.00.
