Your group launches from our 145-year-old outfitter location. Instructions have been given, supplies have been stowed, and now the picturesque architecture of Paris starts to sweep by. The first bend quickly carries our canoes away from the downtown and into the heart of Canada’s rare Carolinian forest.
Lofty trees spread their limbs in welcome. Untrodden trails invite us into the undergrowth. This incredibly bio-diverse landscape comes alive as legends and creatures burst from the banks. The narrative of First Nations is hidden in these river reeds and forest floors ‘ your guides are quick to find them out. There’s a story behind every scene and innumerable sights to drink in. Discover fresh water Springs and Gypsum mines from the early 1800’s on Mile Hill that call out to the inner explorer. And the Trail of the White Cedar leads us up to a breath-taking lookout over the valley. These are the same paths that indigenous people walked 400 years ago. A clear creek carries clear cold water into the current. This is where relaxation meets rejuvenation. As Whiteman’s Creek tells a mysterious tale the water whisks us to our journey’s end.
