“Invisible Renaissance” – A FREE WALKING TOUR that combines downtown history and heritage with local insights and stories.
Cost: FREE!
There is no charge for the tour itself, but our guides work very hard for tips. Because you choose what you pay, you are guaranteed you’ll have a GREAT tour! A credit card is required at the time of booking only to secure your spot. However, a $10 “no-show” charge will be processed for any guest who books but does not show up for the tour. We are doing this to prevent fraudulent bookings and ensure our guides do not get stood up by guests they are expecting.
About:
Starting at the iconic 1920s era art deco Hamilton GO Centre, this walking tour through the centre of the city is a journey through Hamilton’s rise as an industrial powerhouse, fall into urban decay as many industries closed, and recent re-birth as a centre for research, the arts, and thriving local businesses. Though the focus is primarily on history, the idea is to put the present day into context and we’ve designed this tour to appeal to both residents and visitors.
Our unique style of combining history with pure entertainment, stories & jokes has made us one of the most popular walking tour companies in Canada!
