A Grand Experience in Brantford

  • Rent a bike from Grand Experiences and pick it up at their seasonal location within Brant Conservation Area (available between May to mid-October). From here, hop on the trails and start exploring Brantford by bike.
  • Travel the SC Johnson Trail along the scenic Grand River and stop to visit Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, a certified bike-friendly business by Ontario By Bike. Enjoy a picnic while surrounded by the beautifully landscaped 16-acre park, Glenhyrst Gardens. Take a relaxing stroll to admire the flower displays and outdoor sculptures.
  • A short ride will bring you to a must-see public art piece, The Great One, located in front of the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. This beautiful 12-foot sculpture depicts Wayne Gretzky hoisting the Stanley Cup over his head in victory. A life-size depiction of Wayne as a child with his parents, Walter and Phyllis Gretzky, look on.
  • For a real taste of Brantford, cycle over to Brantwood Farms where you can browse their farm shop for local produce, homemade bread, cookies, pies, dumplings and pastries. Seasonal events and outdoor displays can be enjoyed with friends and family.
  • Stop by the Brantford Visitor & Tourism Centre to shop Brantford merchandise, souvenirs and enjoy some local memorabilia displays. Pick up a memento to commemorate your trip to Brantford or a unique gift for your loved ones.
  • Travel to Victoria Park Square, located in downtown Brantford, to view the Joseph Brant Monument. Be on the lookout for Brantford’s Grand Exhibit, twelve to-scale reproductions of artwork from Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant’s permanent collection.
  • Spend time touring Brantford’s downtown, home to many pieces from Brantford’s public art collection, local shops and restaurants. Pre-order dinner from Lettuce Live, a conscious, plant-forward eatery whose goal is full bellies and a menu with nutrient dense ingredients. Enjoy dinner in Harmony Square, a popular gathering place in the heart of downtown Brantford and dip your toes in the splash pad to cool off.
  • Ride through Brantford’s top horticultural park, Lorne Park, and hop on Ballantyne Dr. to reconnect with the trail that will bring you back to Brant Park. Return your rental bikes and head home with memories to share with friends and family.
