Springridge Farm, Milton

Springridge Farm has been using family recipes to transform their crops into delicious preserves for over three decades. Their small-batch jams, relishes, chutneys, dressing and sauces are made from scratch in the farm kitchen. They also offer salad dressings, red pepper jellies, tapenades, salsas and marinades. There’s an onsite gift shop that has a wonderful selection of pottery, tea towels, and housewares.

Nothing says fall like a warm apple pie. Stock your freezer with Chudleigh’s delicious pastry Apple Blossoms, so you can bake up some fall flavours whenever you please. They come in three flavours: Crumble Crunch, Caramel Apple and Wildberry Apple. While you’re there you can pick your own apples and take a scenic wagon ride.

The Udder Way Artisan Cheese Company, Stoney Creek

These artisan cheese makers specialize in French-style, soft and bloomy rind goats cheese and offer a range of cheeses from Ontario and Quebec. Their varieties of handmade goat cheeses include chive, herbes de Provence, vegetable ash, garlic and the always popular garlic and sweet pepper.

The great deals you’ll find on kitchenware staples like Pyrex, Corningware, Corelle and Snapware will provide even more incentive to stock up your freezer with meals for the winter. While you’re there, swing by the Restoration Hardware outlet and check out their latest deals on tableware and linens. 

Farmhouse Artisan Cheese, Oakville

Tasting is encouraged at this friendly Kerr Street Village shop. In addition to a fantastic selection of cheeses you’ll also find charcuterie and cured meats from Ontario and abroad as well as oils, vinegars, jams and chutneys.
