While winter 2021 may not be presenting a typical ski season, Ontario ski hills have reopened, and there is some excellent skiing to be had with a little advance planning.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Glen Eden in Hamilton Halton Brant. Here are some things to keep in mind for a great day on the Niagara Escarpment enjoying Glen Eden’s 16 runs.

Advance Reservations Are Required

To safely manage the number of people on the hill, Glen Eden has a new reservation system in place for both members and visitors. Equipment rentals must also be made using this reservation system. There’s a great video tutorial on how to use the reservation system here.

Food Options Look A Little Different

For this season, there are no indoor food options available at Glen Eden. There are takeout menu offerings available at the West Lodge, and the Snowball Cafe will be open for takeout only at the East Lodge.

Indoor Spaces Aren’t Available

While washrooms within Glen Eden’s lodges are open, seating areas and lockers are not. There are rest areas with warming stations at several locations on the hill where you can take a break and have something to eat without going indoors.

There’s an extensive list of answers to frequently asked questions available on Glen Eden’s website.

We Look Forward To Seeing You Safely

As the COVID-19 situation in Ontario continues to change, a minute or two of extra planning is an important step in ensuring hiccup-free adventures. Follow the latest travel guidelines for your community and any communities you plan to visit. Check with the places you plan to go to in advance to see if reservations or activity bookings are required. On the day of your trip, do a quick check to verify the places on your agenda are open and serving visitors in the way you’re expecting. When visiting, please follow all social distancing and safety guidelines to protect yourself and others.
