For the first time, Canada will host the UCI Para-Cycling Track World Championships when the event comes to the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario from January 30 to February 2, 2020. Canada will play host to the best athletes in the world, with over 30 countries expected to attend and compete in endurance events and tandem and team sprint events that are part of the Para-Olympic programme.
As well as world titles, the event will have extra importance as the last qualification competition before the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. Canada is aiming to boost its Tokyo 2020 prospects at this home event, buoyed by incredible international performances by Canadian athletes in recent years. Come to the velodrome to see these amazing athletes compete on home soil, and the cheers of Canadians will resonate with them as they continue on their journey to Tokyo.
