Oakville is just 30 minutes from downtown Toronto and only an hour’s drive from Niagara Falls and the United States border. The Oakville Visitor Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and offers a selection of tourism information for Oakville and other Ontario destinations.

Oakville is home to a variety of renowned attractions including the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and the Glen Abbey Golf Course, host to the Canadian Open for numerous years. There is something for everyone to do in Oakville all year round. Immerse yourself in the Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival during the summer, Bronte Provincial Park's Maple Syrup Festival in March, or the wide range of activities organized each season by Oakville's three Business Improvement Associations.

Have your pick of theatre, dance, music or comedy at the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. If art is your passion, enjoy walking from gallery to gallery along historic downtown streets or visiting the new Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre. If you're a history buff, visit the Oakville Museum or take a guided walking tour of our heritage districts.

Oakville is renowned for its beautiful shopping and dining districts, which include the historic and sophisticated Downtown Oakville — one of the foremost shopping and dining destinations in Ontario with architecturally preserved storefronts. No matter what inspires you, Oakville's hotels and bed and breakfasts offer plenty of options to indulge your pleasures and pastimes. A wide variety of day spas and salons offer a selection of services including therapeutic massage and restorative body and skin care treatments. Many spas offer services for both men and women and have a range of packages to suit every requirement.

The Oakville Tourism Partnership (OTP) acts cooperatively to achieve tourism goals and direction for tourism development and marketing.

The OTP is an incorporated, not-for-profit organization and acts as a destination management organization operated through a Board of Directors comprised of Oakville Tourism stakeholders.

The Canada 150 Mosaic Mural Project commemorates Canada’s 150th Anniversary by bringing together 150 communities and thousands of participants to create community murals that visually reflect the history and culture of Canada. Once complete, the community murals will be virtually connected to form one gigantic mural mosaic with a railway theme that connects the country from coast to coast.

Our mural is composed of 750 tiles, each measuring four inches square and painted by Oakville residents. The official unveiling of Oakville's 150 Anniversary community mural took place on February 16, 2016 at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC). Oakville’s community mural is now on exhibit at River Oaks Community Centre.
